Quality for the dollar. You can pay more, but you don't get any better steaks. It is the best food without all the silly decorations trying to make it look like something it is not. It is just simply delicious.

The Peddler is a long time family favorite. We have been there for lots of special occasions and enjoyed many, many dinners for years. We always find the food and service to be superb. Love...Love... the fresh, choices of salad makings on the bar and the steaks are tender and full of flavor. Time to time, we try the new places that pop up, some are good and some are not, but we always find our favorite is still The Peddler. Some things never change, because they don't need too. The Peddler is a winner.

the steak i got.more bone in the steak than meat.it has been done repeatly. the hostess was rude to me.only nice to groups with male customers and children.not say much,rude look,rush to get rid of me.not busy at all. walk away while talking to her.the waitresses just as bad.only nice to tables with males and children. waitresses not volunteer to take order,write down order,wait on my table,give bill,food and drink,come back to table and see if needed anything. had to ask for the waitress to do job. would give food,bill and drink and ran away. had to get out of chair and ask to come back and wait on table. not want to write down order. said it is not a job requirement.not want to. waitresses try to start fight.talk back rude,rude tones,interrupt and walk away from table.not any explination and not come back. went to gossip with co-workers. brougt wrong order,knew it. and not volunteer to do anything about it. steak was sent back.more bone than meat. paying for not much meat and advertised for a certain amount.waitresses take crumbs off table and put it on floor.not clean it up.

My first visit to The Peddler was with a date and was the perfect place for a quiet, relaxing evening. It took a while to be seated, which was a hint this would be worth the wait. We were seated at a cozy table in the corner, with linen tablecloths and napkins (what a treat these days) and perfect candlight setting. Our waitress arrived promptly for our drink orders. She was very professional without being too chatty and actually seemed to enjoy her job! We choose to have the Peddler come to our table to show us the steaks and actually cut them there. (Imagine getting to see you food before it is prepared!) I ordered the NY Strip and my date the Prime Rib. The trip to the salad bar was a test of control as there is so much to choose from. Holding back to save room for the main course is difficult. Just as we put down our salad forks, the plates were quickly removed and the steaks delivered promptly. Perfect timing! The NY Strip was cooked to perfection, perfectly seasoned and certainly one of the best I have had. My date offered me a taste of his Prime Rib and from the first mouth watering bite.... I was hooked! The Prime Rib I am used to is usually fatty and over seasoned and not my choice of steaks. This one was out of this world! The most tender meat, with only a small trim of fat (which I like!) and au jus with the perfect consistency and flavoring. Since this was my date's steak and not mine, I had to return to my own steak which was still a excellent choice. I came back to The Peddler a week later for my own Prime Rib, this time with my 11 year old daughter. She ordered a child's steak, which she commented was wonderful, then of course tasted my Prime Rib. Bad move...she wanted more! My daughter and I now visit The Peddler every month or so for our Prime Rib dinner. I highly recommend this resturant for its professional and friendly staff, excellent atmosphere for family or romantic evening, awesome food and worth the price and wait!

The Peddler is a wonderful relaxed atmosphere and serves the best grilled steaks and seafood. The ribeye and New York Strip can be cut at your table upon request. That is a unique experience if you plan to order the ribeye or strip. I plan to order ribeye and request it cut at my table until it is time to do so and then change my mind and I go back for the delicious grilled tuna or grilled salmon that may be ordered from the server.(and so may any other menu item if you don't request the cutter at the table.) We also enjoy the Prime Rib. It is the best in the area. Servings are large and devine. Service is always excellent. I love the warm, friendly, personal attention. Everyone is pleasant and eager to please. The salad bar is to die for....... always fresh cut vegetables and gourmet additions for the best salad your imagination can make. Love, Love, Love to feast at this salad bar. It is of excellent quality and reasonable prices. A great evening out for a date or to dine with friends. I have attended numerous celebrations in the private dining room with large groups and found the same great food and excellent service provided in that setting. My favorite for almost 40 years. Hats off to 40 years, that is remarkable.
